Certificate in Latino and Caribbean Studies

Registration Form

Please submit this registration form for the Certificate in Latino and Caribbean Studies.  This will allow the Department to track our certificate students, send you updates, confirm the granting of the certificate in Degree Navigator, and prepare a printed certificate for you upon graduation.

Requirements:

  • Students must complete 9 credits of coursework in Latino and Caribbean Studies (595)
  • Students must achieve a minimum grade of C for all courses
  • Up to three credits may be taken on a Pass/No Credit basis
  • Students who earn the Major or Minor in Latino and Caribbean Studies may not also earn the Certificate in Latino and Caribbean Studies

Certificates are presented in the year of your commencement at the Departmental year-end graduation celebration.

Please list three courses taken or planned to be taken (if registering with the certificate program before you take the courses) in the Department of Latino and Caribbean Studies (at least two of them must have the 595 designation and a third may be from another department cross-listed with LCS). Indicate the COURSE NUMBER and TITLE, YEAR, SEMESTER when the courses were taken or will be taken.
