Dear students in Latino/Caribbean Studies Courses,
Once again we have hired a graduate student to help you with your papers for your courses in Latino and Hispanic Caribbean Studies (LHCS). Her name is Prajakta and she is a specialist in English Literature. A few notes on the process:
- Bring only papers, reports, presentations from your LHCS courses.
- She’ll start with 2 hours a week and add hours as necessary.
- Her initial schedule, starting this week will be Thursdays 12-2 in the Department offices (Second Floor Tillett Hall, Liv Campus); other hours by appointment.
- Email her to make an appointment. Walk-ins will be allowed only when is available.
- Please bring any necessary materials relating to your writing assignment.
- Her role is not to correct your papers but to help you identify ways in which you can improve your written expression and analysis.
- Her email is: pdamle@eden.rutgers.edu.
- If you miss an appointment you won’t be able to make any new appointments if there are other students waiting for appointments.
- Our tutor last semester reported that many students could have benefited from repeat visits, so I encourage you to plan ahead, make appointments and bring in different drafts, different kinds of works, starting with shorter assignments.
- You can bring in papers from last semester that you’d like to review even if they have been graded already.
- Write me if you have any questions about the process (alauria@rci.rutgers.edu)
Good luck with the term’s work.
