The Student Committee for Latino Academic Studies for 2008-2009 is composed this year of:

*Our meetings are held once per month in Room 208, Tillett Hall on the Livingston Campus.

Our next meeting will be held on

Wednesday, April 29th at 8:30 PM.

Please join us if you want to help out with:

--interviewing job applicants for our current open position (Latino Politics)

--advising the dept. on what needs improvement with our curriculum, etc.

--planning events

--participating in discussions with faculty

--recruiting students to the department

Committee members also get invited to meals with guest speakers and attend Latino cultural events.

Events Officer:
Responsibilities: Search through the various Rutgers Calendars of Events and New Brunswick listings to find events related to Latino Studies/Latino Culture that committee members would be interested in attending.  Create a monthly listing of events to be forwarded to committee members.
